Produce Full-Size Parts in One Piece

Large-format FDM printing becomes significantly more difficult as print size increases because thermal inconsistency, vibration, extrusion instability, and long-duration material flow issues become more pronounced across larger parts. The Orange Storm Giga is designed to address these limitations by combining industrial-scale build capacity with systems intended to maintain print stability over extended production runs.

Its 800 × 800 × 1000 mm build volume allows oversized components to be produced as complete parts rather than segmented assemblies, helping reduce the alignment issues, weak points, and post-processing labour often associated with joining smaller sections together. To support consistent adhesion across such a large print area, the machine uses four independently controlled heated PEI platform zones that manage heat more efficiently while helping maintain more stable bed temperatures during large-format jobs

The extrusion system is engineered to maintain reliable material flow during long prints through a double-gear drive system, titanium alloy heat pipe, chrome zirconium copper nozzle construction, and a 60W ceramic heater with PID auto-calibration. These systems help regulate nozzle temperature consistency and reduce extrusion instability, which becomes increasingly important when printing engineering-focused materials or high-volume parts over extended periods.

For motion accuracy, the built-in acceleration sensor automatically compensates for resonance and vibration generated during higher-speed movement. This helps improve surface consistency and dimensional stability on larger prints where motion-related artefacts become more visible. Combined with a quad-core RK3328 processor capable of managing large-format slicing and multi-extruder workflows, the Orange Storm Giga is structured to support oversized production printing with greater reliability, efficiency, and workflow scalability.

Workflow Advantages

  • Large-Format Production Capability — Produce oversized prototypes, tooling, props, and fabrication components as complete parts without redesigning around the limitations of smaller machines.
  • Independent Heated Bed Zones — Start jobs more efficiently by heating only the required print areas, helping reduce waiting time between production runs.
  • Multi-Nozzle Expansion Support — Increase production flexibility by running multiple models or material setups simultaneously within the same workflow.
  • 300°C High-Temperature Hotend — Take on more advanced fabrication work using engineering-focused materials that demand higher and more stable extrusion temperatures.
  • High-Speed Motion System — Maintain productive print output while still working toward reliable dimensional consistency on large-format parts.
  • Auto Bed Levelling System — Spend less time manually calibrating large print surfaces and more time focusing on production.
  • Resonance Compensation Technology — Print larger components with improved surface consistency and fewer vibration-related artefacts during higher-speed operation.
  • Removable 10.1-Inch HD Touchscreen — Manage long-duration print jobs through a clear and accessible interface suited to active workshop environments.
  • PEI Magnetic Build Platforms — Remove completed parts more efficiently and return the machine to production with less interruption between jobs.
  • Industrial-Scale Build Height — Expand the range of projects you can manufacture, including tall architectural models, fixtures, moulds, and full-scale prototypes that exceed standard desktop printer limits.
