Engrave Curved Surfaces to the Same Standard as Flat Work
A laser engraver produces sharp, accurate results because it always knows the exact position of the surface it's marking, and on a flat bed that position is fixed and simple to calculate. A cylindrical or spherical object breaks that assumption because the surface curves away from the laser head as it moves.
The 4-in-1 rotary attachment solves this by replacing the object's fixed position with controlled rotation, so as the laser head moves along its axis, the attachment turns the workpiece at a matched rate and the curved surface is presented to the beam in the same way a flat sheet would be. This is why the engraving stays consistent from edge to edge instead of distorting or losing focus as the surface curves away.
Because it's designed to work directly with the G2/G3, the rotation is also coordinated with the machine's existing motion control, so no separate calibration system or workaround is required to get accurate results. The 4-in-1 design then extends this same coordinated rotation across a range of object shapes and sizes, which is why the same attachment can move between tumblers, bottles, cups and ornaments without needing different hardware for each one.
Workflow Advantages
- Coordinated rotary motion — Engrave curved surfaces to the same standard as your flat work, with consistent results edge to edge.
- Direct G2/G3 compatibility — Add rotary capability to a machine you already operate, without introducing a new system to learn.
- Cylindrical and spherical engraving — Take on tumbler, bottle and cup orders that a flat-bed setup alone can't accommodate.
- No separate calibration required — Move between flat and rotary jobs without added setup time.
- Consistent curved-surface accuracy — Deliver finished pieces with the same precision customers expect from your flat engraving work.
- Support for multiple object shapes and sizes — Take on a wider range of jobs with one attachment, rather than sourcing separate equipment.
- Expanded product range — Extend into drinkware and ornament work as a natural addition to your existing offering.
- Steady, repeatable results — Quote and deliver custom orders knowing each piece will match the standard of the last.
