Gweike Cloud G2 Max 50 watts fibre laser engraver in use at an outdoor boutique stall

Add In-House Engraving to Your Product Line

The reason the G2 MAX can deliver consistent, permanent engraving in-house comes down to how the fibre laser and galvo system work together.

A fibre laser generates its beam through a doped fibre optic cable rather than a gas tube or diode. This is what allows it to produce a tightly focused 1064nm wavelength beam — the wavelength best absorbed by metals — which is why it can mark stainless steel, titanium, gold and silver cleanly, rather than just scorching the surface.

That beam is then steered by an industrial-grade galvo system, using mirrors to redirect the laser at speed instead of moving the whole print head. This is what makes ±0.001mm repeat accuracy and speeds up to 15,000mm/s possible at the same time — because the only thing moving is a lightweight mirror, not a mechanical carriage. On a ring or small engraved item, even a fractional shift in beam placement is visible, so the precision of the galvo is what protects the quality of fine, detailed work.

Because the fibre laser is solid-state, with no gas mixture to replenish and no misaligning optics to manage, it holds its calibration over repeated use — which is why the machine can go from one job to the next without needing to be re-tuned each time.

The fully enclosed, radiation-proof shell exists for the same underlying reason the machine can sit on a workshop bench at all: containing a beam this precise and powerful safely is what makes indoor, close-proximity use possible in the first place, rather than requiring a separate industrial space.

Workflow Advantages

  • Industrial-grade galvo system — Work with the confidence that comes from ±0.001mm repeat accuracy, so fine jewellery and detail engraving comes out consistent every time.
  • Fully enclosed, radiation-proof shell — Run the machine safely indoors, alongside customers or staff, without needing a separate industrial setup.
  • Live engraving preview — See your layout before you commit, reducing wasted material and giving you confidence on custom, one-off pieces.
  • 360° cylindrical rotating support — Take on tumblers, rings and cylindrical items as a natural extension of your existing offer, rather than a separate capability.
  • Handheld and inclined engraving support — Handle irregular or oversized items that wouldn't normally fit a standard bed, widening the range of jobs you can quote on.
  • 15,000mm/s marking speed — Move through detailed, multi-item orders without engraving time becoming a bottleneck in your workflow.
  • Bluetooth and USB, multi-OS support — Set up and run jobs from the device you already use, keeping the machine simple to integrate into a small studio or workshop.
  • Simple focusing system — Spend less time on setup and calibration between jobs, and more time producing finished work.
  • LightBurn compatibility — Work within a design environment already trusted by engravers and makers, rather than learning a closed, proprietary system.
