Scale Your Production Without Sacrificing Precision
The GM 60W Pro is built around a JPT MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) fibre laser source, and this matters because MOPA architecture separates pulse width from frequency, whereas older fibre lasers lock the two together. Different metals absorb laser energy differently, since gold and silver need low, controlled energy to avoid overheating fine detail, while tungsten and steel can take a heavier pulse without losing edge definition, so this independent control is what lets one machine move between delicate marking and deep engraving without swapping hardware or compromising on either.
Speed and accuracy come from a galvanometer scanning system, which redirects the beam itself rather than physically moving the workpiece or a gantry, and this removes the mechanical inertia that limits speed on slower engraving methods, which is why the machine can hold 10,000 mm/s (millimetres per second) without accuracy dropping off. That accuracy holds because a custom F-theta field mirror (a lens designed to keep the beam focused evenly across a flat surface) keeps the beam perpendicular to the work surface across the full 175 × 175 mm area, since without it, focus and detail would soften toward the edges, a common failure point on lower-spec fibre lasers.
One-touch autofocus exists to remove a different source of error, because focal distance directly determines beam tightness and even a fraction of a millimetre of drift changes how sharp a mark comes out, so automating that step is what keeps the first piece in a batch consistent with the hundredth. Positioning accuracy of ±0.1 µm (micrometres, or millionths of a metre) and engraving accuracy of 0.01 mm are the practical result of these systems working together rather than independent specs, since it's the combination of stable beam delivery, flat focus across the field, and repeatable focal height that makes fine jewellery detail and small serial numbers legible and repeatable at production volume.
Workflow Advantages
- One-Touch AutoFocus — Removes manual setup between jobs, so you can move from one piece to the next without second-guessing whether the focus is right.
- Galvanometer Scanning System — Lets you take on production-volume orders knowing speed won't come at the cost of engraving quality.
- 0.01 mm Engraving Accuracy — Gives you the confidence to take on fine jewellery and detailed marking work, knowing the result will hold up under close inspection.
- Deep Engraving & 3D Relief Capability — Opens the door to more advanced, higher-value work, like sculpted logos and textured finishes, beyond flat surface marking.
- Electric Lifting — Keeps your workflow moving when switching between piece sizes, without manual adjustment slowing you down.
- Rotary Axis Function — Extends what you can quote on to cylindrical items like rings, tools and barrels, widening the range of jobs you can accept.
- Colour Engraving on Stainless Steel — Adds a finishing option for branded or presentation-grade pieces, letting you offer more without buying separate equipment.
- Compact All-in-One Design — Fits into a working studio or workshop, so growing your capability doesn't mean finding a bigger space first.
- 10,000 mm/s Maximum Engraving Speed — Keeps turnaround times realistic when you're working through batch or repeat orders.

Why Kyro Machines Recommends Monport
The GM 60W Pro is built on a JPT laser source. JPT is an established manufacturer of fibre laser modules used in industrial marking and engraving equipment, and MOPA sources from JPT are a common specification in mid-to-high-end fibre laser engravers for this reason.
Kyro Machines selects equipment based on build quality, component reliability and suitability for production use. It's backed by Australian-based after-sales support, so if you need help with setup, workflow or troubleshooting, you're dealing with a local team.
