Bring Certified Part Inspection In-House

Certified accuracy at 0.01 mm is only trustworthy if it holds steady between operators and sessions, which is why the AutoScan Inspec2 recalibrates itself automatically before each scan, removing the manual calibration step that is usually where accuracy drift creeps in. The dual 5MP camera setup and 0.05 mm point distance work together to resolve the fine surface detail that small, intricate components demand, because without both a fine capture resolution and stable optics, gaps or distortion at that scale would undermine the certified accuracy figure entirely.

That accuracy is only useful if the resulting model is actually complete, so the 3-axis turntable's add-scan function rotates the part through every angle needed to eliminate blind spots, rather than leaving hidden faces for the operator to catch and rescan manually. UltraScan's AI-driven algorithms sit on top of this process, comparing the incoming data in real time and directing the smart add-scan feature to specific gaps as they are detected, which is what allows one-click scanning to work without a specialist reviewing every capture for completeness.

In effect, the automatic calibration, fine-resolution optics, and AI-directed scanning are not separate features but work together so a non-specialist operator can produce a certified-accuracy, complete model on the first pass, which is the entire premise of moving inspection in-house. Full-colour capture is layered onto the same pass, so the resulting file documents both dimensional accuracy and visual condition without a second scanning step.

Workflow Advantages

  • Certified 0.01 mm accuracy — You can sign off on inspection results knowing they will hold up under formal scrutiny, without second-guessing the number.
  • Automatic calibration — You start every session already confident the machine is accurate, instead of spending time verifying it yourself.
  • True one-click scanning — You get a professional-grade scan without needing years of metrology training.
  • Smart add-scan (artificial intelligence, AI-driven) — You can trust the model is complete on the first pass, rather than manually checking for missed surfaces.
  • Batch processing of up to 8 objects — You clear a full day's inspection backlog in one sitting, freeing up time for higher-value analysis work.
  • Full-colour scanning — You hand over a single file that documents both dimensional accuracy and visual condition, in one deliverable.
  • 3-axis turntable with add-scan — You get consistent, repeatable results scan after scan, so your process holds up under audit or client review.
  • Compact 5 kg design — You bring certified-grade inspection onto your own bench, without needing to build out a dedicated metrology lab.
  • 0.05 mm point distance — You capture detail fine enough for the most intricate components you handle, with confidence in the result.
