Capture Full-Colour 3D Scans Anywhere You Work
The reason the EinScan Libre can scan anywhere is that it doesn't rely on a separate computer to do the heavy lifting. The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX processor, with its 8-core CPU and Ampere GPU, is built into the device itself, so scan-to-mesh processing happens on the spot rather than after the fact. This is what removes the laptop from the workflow entirely — capture and processing are the same step, not two.
Colour comes from the same cause. A 48 MP camera captures texture in the same pass as geometry, so the unit isn't reconstructing colour separately or relying on a second piece of software to merge photos with a scan.
Accuracy holds up across different jobs because the machine switches its scanning method to suit the surface. The 101-line blue laser array in HD mode is what allows fine detail down to 0.05 mm on complex geometry, while the IR modes shift to infrared light for rapid coverage and for surfaces — reflective metal, matte black plastic — that scatter or absorb a laser rather than reflecting it cleanly. That range, from 0.1 m to 10 m, is achievable within one device because the scanning modes are built to work at different distances rather than the hardware being tuned for a single object size.
Because the entire process is reviewed on the 5.5-inch OLED touchscreen and written straight to 1 TB of onboard SSD, there's no intermediate step where data has to leave the device to be checked or stored — which is ultimately why it can be operated standalone, in the field, without a laptop at all.

Workflow Advantages
- Standalone embedded computing — Walk onto a site with one device and walk off with a finished mesh, no laptop tether or post-processing bottleneck slowing you down.
- Multi-mode scanning (0.1 m–10 m) — Move from a small component to a full vehicle or building interior without changing equipment, so one system covers a broader scope of work.
- HD Laser mode (0.05 mm resolution) — Resolve fine detail and complex geometry with confidence when a project demands precision, such as heritage documentation or close-tolerance inspection.
- IR Adaptive mode — Scan reflective or black surfaces that typically cause dropout on other systems, so you're not turning work away or reaching for workarounds.
- 48 MP colour texture capture — Capture full-colour scan data in the same pass as geometry, suited to VFX, heritage, and presentation-grade deliverables.
- 5.5-inch OLED touchscreen — Check scan quality and coverage on the spot, so you leave a site knowing the capture is complete rather than finding gaps back at the office.
- Quick-swap rechargeable batteries — Keep scanning through a full day on site without being tied to a power outlet or losing momentum between setups.
- 1 TB onboard SSD — Capture extensive multi-object or multi-site projects without managing storage limits mid-job.
- Cloud connectivity — Back up and share scan data wirelessly straight from the field, so projects move to the next stage without waiting on a return to base.
Why Kyro Machines Recommends Shining 3D
