Large, high-speed prints put constant mechanical stress on a frame, and any flex or vibration shows up directly as ringing, dimensional drift or layer inconsistency on a part this size. The Max4's CoreXY full metal frame combined with Field-Oriented Control (FOC) closed-loop stepper motors solves this at the source, because the motors constantly self-correct position in real time rather than running open-loop, so the toolhead holds its intended path even under the acceleration needed to move at 800 mm/s. Heat is the other major failure point on large Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA) or Polycarbonate (PC) parts, since uneven temperature across a big bed or an open chamber causes warping and layer separation long before the print is visually "done." The third-generation active chamber heating, reaching up to 65°C, exists specifically to eliminate that temperature gradient, keeping the whole part, not just the surface layer, at a stable state as it cools.
